Durley, Kytes Lane. Refurbishment.

This was an exciting project in Durly. We turned a small existing dwelling into a huge 4 bedroom house.

  • The job involved various extensions to the existing dwelling timber and block.
  • A new truss roof was added in testing whether conditions.
  • A new slate roof which matched the colour of the new aluminium windows.
  • Cedar cladding which looked amazing alongside the cream k render.

Really eye pleasing house, and it didn't end outside.

Swanwick, Friends Farm. Restoration.

We have been lucky enough to preserve a number of Hampshire's heritage/listed buildings. This particular project involved a re-roof to the rear elevation of the dwelling which dated back to the 16century.

  • We had to restore a number of oak rafters using traditional jointing methods.
  • The Gable end tile hanging was renewed
  • The Main rear chimney had to be completely rebuilt
  • Lower rear chimney had to be repointed
  • The dormer windows had to be replaced with traditional timber casement windows. There was also a little casement window added to one of the gable ends.
  • We also reinstated the two chimneys that had been taken down on the Victorian roof installing two log burners at the same time.
  • Restoration and redecoration of the fascia and soffit and casement windows.
  • New Victorian ogre cast iron guttering to the whole property.
